After co-sponsoring the pro cycling team, managed by Patrick Lefevere, for the last five years, Quick-Step will return as the title sponsor of the Belgian World Tour team in 2017. Despite no longer featuring on the race kit, Etixx will remain at the head of the pack as an official partner in the coming season.

Quick-Step, specialist in wood, laminate and luxury vinyl flooring, has an 18-year history of cycling sponsorship. Part of the pro peloton since 1998 and title sponsor of the team between 2003 and 2011, Quick-Step has been a major force for the success of the squad. For the last five years, the company has co-sponsored the Pro Cycling Team alongside premium sports nutrition brand Etixx.

Beginning in 2017, Etixx will pass the title sponsor torch back to Quick-Step, which is proud to take up the mantle once again. The name of the cycling team will be “Quick-Step Floors”.

Paul De Cock, President of UNILIN, division flooring, said: “The Quick-Step brand and the pro cycling team share many core values: a commitment to quality results and the continuous introduction of innovations that give us the competitive edge we need to win. These values are the cornerstone of success for both of our organisations.
“By origin, we’re also a Flemish company – cycling is in our DNA.”

As the title sponsor of the Etixx – Quick-Step Cycling Team since 2015, Etixx is still keen on supporting it in the future as an official partner.

Patrick Lefevere, the team’s CEO, said: “We’re delighted that Quick-Step decided to take advantage of this opportunity and become the title sponsor of the team in the 2017 season.
“We’ve achieved many goals together, and we’re eager to keep doing so in 2017. I’d like to thank Etixx for its support and underline that our relationship will go ahead, as Etixx will continue to supply the team with high-quality products.

“Finally, I want to stress that the budget and the structure of the squad will remain unaltered in the 2017 season.”
