Tomorrows Retail Flooring


Alex Humphries, the online arm of nationwide retailer Flooring Republic, has expanded its marketing team with the appointment of a new Digital Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Executive.

Alex Humphries has been hired for the role of Digital Marketing Manager, having previously worked for another online flooring retailer where he held the same position. A graduate from the University of Huddersfield with an honours degree in Broadcast Journalism, Alex also has experience in the digital sector from his time with Leeds-based digital marketing agency Blueclaw.

Alex commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Flooring Republic at this exciting time. The company has real ambition in terms of growth, and a real dedication to delivering a high standard of customer service.

“I’m hoping that, with my experience within the flooring sector, I can help guide the company’s digital operation to deliver positive results.”

Meanwhile, Ben Duke has been appointed as Digital Marketing Executive. Also a Broadcast Journalism graduate of the University of Huddersfield, Ben brings significant content experience having worked on projects for Super League side Huddersfield Giants and Yorkshire County Cricket Club, as well as Reading and Leeds Festival organisers Festival Republic.

On his new role, Ben said: “It’s great to have been given this opportunity to begin my journey in the marketing sphere, and I’m really excited to get started.”

Head of Marketing, Stephen Gillen, said of the appointments: “Alex’s experience in digital and the flooring industry will be invaluable to our success going forward, and we’re delighted to have him on board.

“It’s great to be working with Ben, who has already shown he’s a willing learner and is looking forward to kickstarting his career in the industry.
