Tomorrows Retail Flooring

CFS, a distributor of flooring products designed specifically for the healthcare, commercial, education and residential sectors, has announced the launch of a new acoustic underlay range, made from mostly recycled products.

Containing a mix of different types of recycled plastic including car tyres and trainers, CFS RecoLay acoustic underlay can be teamed with most floorcoverings, including vinyl and luxury vinyl tiles, carpet and carpet tiles, linoleum, laminate, engineered wood and ceramics.

The product also promises a significant reduction in noise levels, particularly important in high rise flats where noise travels easily. CFS expects this to become increasingly significant as the number of high-rise properties being developed increases year on year.

This addition to CFS’s existing ranges further strengthens its broad product portfolio, allowing specifiers, contractors and carpet fitters to source all of their flooring products from CFS, while providing a sustainable alternative for customers who are keen to make the most environmentally-friendly choices, thanks to the acoustic underlay’s high recycled content.

CFS’s CEO, Lisa Tomlin commented: “We’re always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact and launching a product made primarily from recycled products reinforces that.

“The RecoLay acoustic underlay range helps re-affirm our position as a one-stop shop and reiterates the very important message that we are aiming to address all of our customers’ needs with the wide choice of products that we offer.

“Noisy buildings are bad for people and for business, reducing productivity and negatively impacting on wellbeing. Designed for use under most floor types, RecoLay is especially useful in commercial buildings, as well as high-rise flats and residential refurbishments, where noise transfer can prove to be a particular irritation. It has excellent sound reduction qualities, to make buildings better for the people who live and work in them.”

CFS Recolay is available from Carpet & Flooring which also supplies screeds, adhesives and trims for any project.
